The yearly list is based on 4 benchmarks: industry recognition, sustainability innovation, Measurable green results, and continuous improvement.
The President, as well as, Chief Executive Officer of ArcBest, Judy R. McReynolds stated that at ArcBest, we are dedicated to providing a remarkable customer experience, and that is inclusive of promoting a greener supply chain & adopting measures which are designed to enhance fleet efficiency & sustainability. I am delighted that Inbound Logistics has again given recognition to our company on its G75 list.
Via its less-than-truckload carrier ABF Freight, ArcBest has enthusiastically participated in the conservation movement for years and years. In 1976, the carrier initiated voluntarily restraining its trucks’ top speeds for conserving fuel & reduce emissions. In 1994, the firm incorporated novel trucks with computerized engine shut-offs, which minimized fuel consumption and reduced idling while limiting emissions.
At present, ABF Freight bought 800 new 28-foot trailers with aerodynamic skirts designed for improving fuel economy, as well as, wind resistance.
In 2018, the United States Environmental Protection Agency privileged ABF Freight with a SmartWay Freight Carrier Excellence Award that recognizes the leading freight carriers for superior environmental performance & actions for reducing freight emissions. ABF has been a SmartWay partner since 2006.
Inbound Logistics gave the recognition to the G75 companies in its June edition.
